A custom builder like Betterwood designs and builds homes around the homeowner, the site, and the way you actually live. Every decision is yours, from the floor plan to the finishes, and the result is a home built for you, not a template adapted to fit.
How much does it cost to build a custom home on Cape Cod?
Cape Cod custom homes vary widely based on size, finishes, site conditions, and complexity. Rather than quote a generic per-square-foot number that won’t apply to your project, we sit down, walk your site, and develop a realistic budget tied to your actual scope. That’s the only way to get an honest answer.
Do I need to have architectural plans before contacting you?
Not at all. Many of our clients come to us with just an idea or a Pinterest board. We work with trusted Cape Cod architects and designers and can guide you through the full design process. If you do have existing plans, we’ll review them and pick up from there.
What materials do you use for Cape Cod homes?
Cape Cod’s coastal climate demands materials that can handle salt air, wind, moisture, and temperature swings. Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Betterwood Homes is fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts, with all required general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. We’d be happy to provide documentation during our initial conversation.
What happens after the project is finished?
A final walkthrough, a punch list, and post-build support. We don’t disappear after the keys are handed over — if something needs attention down the road, we’re a phone call away. Our reputation is built on long-term relationships, not one-and-done projects.
